Heidelberg - Day 2

The hotel entrance, taken from inside.

The courtyard. Stairs leading to first storey
The reception office in the middle. To the left is the restaurant.

As you can see, it is a pretty small and cosy hotel in town. Good view of the river and bridge. Well, didn't go sightseeing in the second day. Was having workshop the whole day. Did went out with colleagues to visit a Christmas fair. Drank the local wine "gluen". It's red wine mixed with sugar and spices. Heated to boiling temperatures, it's the ideal drink during winter time.

Below are some pictures of the fair and my colleagues drinking wine.

The wine has a high alcohol content. It kept me nice and warm throughout the night but I felt really dizzy and groggy. Of course, my red was red as tomato. Had a good and sumptous dinner but couldn't finish the beef. Maybe I was too bloated with the wine and feeling sleepy. It was 3-4am in SG when I was having dinner. First course was the soup. "Clear soup with german rivolouli". Check out the "dumpling-like" thing inside the soup. It is a traditional Heidelberg dish.
Then comes the famous "Rumpsteak with fried potatoes". Classic meat-eaters' favourite. Too bad I wasn't feeling too well. Can't finish it. =( In fact, took less than a bite.
Well, that's all for Day 2. Nothing but food and more food. That's what I do best. Uploaded more pictures, feel free to take a look.
