Finally, I'm back in Singapore. It was a tiring 13-hour flight. Was feeling so sleepy and tired. But come to think of it, it was a very blessed and smooth journey.
Heidelberg Day 3
Talking about what I did on day 3, it was again another day of workshop. Had a chance to take pictures of the breakfast and lunch (food again). After the workshop ended, I went out with a colleague to take some pictures of the Heidelberg castle and the bridge outside the hotel. Blogged my 2nd day's entry while waiting for my driver to pick me up.
Wow, talking about driving, I tried sitting in the front seat just to see how fast the vehicle can go. The driver was a lady and the vehicle was a normal passenger van, similar to the one in church but only bigger and more powerful. Along the major highways, that van was clocking speeds as high as 180km/hr! That was so neat! Mind you, it's their normal speed to travel at 120km for highways. It was especially exhilarating since I'm sitting in the front seat. Wanted to take pictures but was too dark. So you see, Germans really drive very fast. Even my van can reach such speeds on the roads, can't imagine the other automobiles.
The rest of the day was spent waiting at the airport for my flight; nothing interesting to shop in Frankfurt airport. Changi airport is still the best when it comes to that. Not to mention how expensive it is to shop there. A bottle of coke, 330ml cost EUR 1.75. That's around $3.75 SGD. A Mcdonald's meal cost 4 Euros which translates to around 8 dollars plus. Hard to survive sia. Haha. Anyway, I'm glad to be back. Going to pack up now.
