Weary moments

Weary moments are times,
when everything seems so surreal
When day is replaced by night
And all seems unreal.

When the mind fights to stay awake,
the will to fight soon fades
And every moment to keep your eyes open,
is a constant battle and struggle within.

Weary moments are times
when the heart is weak
and the mind unwilling.

Where the conviction to keep on going,
dwindles by the moment, minute, second.

And as you reflect on your past and doings
nothing seems to keep you going.

When negative thoughts abound
And weariness overcomes
I hold onto the One
Whose love on the cross I found

My hope, my comfort, my shelter.
